There was a story in the news recently that many women have bank accounts they keep secret from their husbands or partners, and that they look on this money as a safety net or for their own spending, while men are more likely to have secret accounts to they can save up for surprises for their partner.
(Or to spend on Escorts in London, who knows?)
Do you know what, I don’t think I’ll ever understand supposedly ‘normal’ relationships and what goes on in them. Whatever happened to “what’s mine is yours”, y’know the trust thing couples are meant to have together? That said, I’m glad all the money I earn belongs to me – every single penny and pound in that account is mine and I can spent it as I like.
One friend of mine who married a very rich man said she had to account to him for every penny she spent. In fact, he wouldn’t even give her a bank card of her own. She had to go to him for a weekly allowance. AND he wouldn’t even let her buy decent-quality toilet tissue – it had to be that cheap recycled rubbish. Not surprisingly, they divorced two years after marrying.
London Escorts make good money and they get to keep it. Needless to say, I treat myself to excellent quality toilet tissue! It’s so soft it’s practically silk. OK, so good quality toilet tissue is my little indulgence (along with skincare and clothes) but I’m also sensible with my savings.
One of my regular clients is a financial advisor and he keeps me right with investments. One day, he tells me, I’ll have enough money to start making some serious investments and I’ll probably be able to pay off my mortgage early, or buy myself a holiday home abroad. I quite fancy a pad in Spain, or perhaps the Canaries.
No ladies, no secret bank accounts for me – just a whole lot of money to spend today, if I choose.
