Bonjour. Now, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – French men are the best dates. And I can speak with authority because I’ve just spend the past week in Marseilles – a city which is definitely on the up incidentally, especially since it’s the City of Culture this year (you’ll know this if you go there as many of their beautiful Louis XIV buildings are draped in huge bright pink posters declaring this, unfortunately). But what is it about the French man that makes him so devilishly charming? I know many London escorts share this belief and for me it’s the fact he’s grown up not just knowing how to flirt (it’s part of the French culture) but also how to treat women graciously – to prize them if you like. The flirting is banter, it’s always done with a lot of laughter behind it and never threatening or offensive in any way. And then there is the chivalrous side – they always insist on pulling out chairs for you at dinner and making sure they pay attention to you to the extent you feel like the only person in the room. Well, that’s my experience anyway.
A few escorts in London had told me about Marseilles and I must say I loved its vibrancy – so colourful, noisy and fun-loving. Actually you can keep Paris for now, the country’s second biggest city is now my favourite destination across the channel. Since I’ve been here I’ve been impressed at the designer shops – unfortunately they tend to be aimed at the typically smart – but petite – French woman (yep, the Parisians are moving down here too). Being 5ft 10 (without high heels) and a size 10 I’d find it hard to fit into some of those gorgeous little black dresses simply because they’re made for women no taller than 5ft. Maybe it’s just as well though – I’ve a three week trip to Mauritius booked for the beginning of February and I’ll I’ll be hoping to pick up some fantastic Chanel and Guchi items in the sales. And no doubt I will.
